hey guys ive been dealing with a problem thats been plaguing us all over and i need some serious advice
a few years ago i met this girl and we instantly became friends, months later we talked daily and she became the one person i could go to for anything, i even almost had the guts to ask her out. but an old crush came into my life and i fell for her, we started dating seriously and i still talked to my other friend everyday like she was my greatest friend, well my girlfriend dumped me a few months later leaving me heart broken. and wouldnt you know it my best friend was right there to help me off the ground just like always. so my ex and i try becoming friends but i begin to get jealous when i hear of her and a new guy shes been seeing causing a huge fight between me and my ex and we never spoke again.
recently my ex has been trying to get in contact with me and ive ignored her and tried closing that chapter in my life to open a new one, as per the advice from my best friend. but i started to consider whether or not she had feelings for me again
well my old feelings for my friend came back stronger than ever, but i soon realized i could never go to her about it because im afriad id lose her friendship, so whenever i start to thinkabout the inevitability of never standing a chance with her it hurts me deep down, and when i turn to my friend for help she senses something is wrong and all i can do is lie or avoid it because im too afriad of what will happen.
i have self esteem issues as it is and i cant lose her, i do love her because she has never given up on me, but everyday it gets harder knowing i’ll never have a chance with her, and part of me believes she doesnt see me that way at all
when im in this state my mind starts racing and its all i think about til the thoughts of my ex come in and how much i had loved her and she said she loved me, when it gets to this point i fight the temptation of contacting my ex and letting my friend know how i feel
i am terrified of what my friend will say if i even tell her how i feel, and how her opinion of me will change, that is why i cant go to her about it,and i cant go to her about my ex troubles either because i honestly believe i love my friend so much more, but i only see my ex as a safer option that is if she even wants to be with me again cause i dont know if she does and im not gonna waste the time to contact her just to get rejected by her a third time,
so i guess the point im getting to is:
should i tell my friend how i feel and keep my ex outta my life like i have been
or
contact my ex and see if she wants to get back together (that is if thats what she is trying to get ahold of me for)

TELL HER YOU LIKE HER, TELL HER THAT YOU CANNOT LOSE HER, tell her why you value your friendship, she stood by you, she was always there, you can count on her, she’s a good person and you love her for it
