I still talk to my ex once a week or maybe once every 2 weeks. We only talk to each other as friends but still I miss her. I don’t want to get back with her but I just miss all the good time we had with eachother.

My new GF is every guys dream. She is smart, hot, cooks, cleans, loves to work, funny and best of all she is a virgin and wants to wait until we get married. Met her 5yrs ago hit it off but then I had my exgf at the time so i didn’t go forward with anything. When i broke up she heard about it and flew about 2000 miles just to see me. Now this is the type of girl i want to marry!

But why do I still kinda miss my Exgf? Any advise?

good thing about my GF she went through something similar so she understands
I know what went wrong with my last relationship….She wanted to go out and party with her friends while I stay at home. I would ask her stay but she would tell me No. Now that im not there she knows she made a mistake losing me.
I did take sometime off for myself and i just felt worse. in a way my gf is helping me heal.

My boyfriend and I were dating for a year and a half. We split up a little over two weeks ago due to many differences and lots of on going unnecessary fights. I don’t feel good about this at all, we were so in love and talked many times about having a family and spending our lives together. I never thought he would want this to end, even with all the fighting, I always thought we would work things out. About a month ago we got an apartment, which has made this break up even harder. I realize there has been a lot of stress on his part, working two jobs and so many things he would like to get done, but as a couple (in love), don’t you work together and not give up regardless? The last fight we had which was, well the day of our break up, he said that he just hit his breaking point and that things would no longer work for us, we’re two different people. I just don’t get it, why after we just take the step of getting our own place is he so sure that we’re not meant to be? After all that we’ve been through together? I know that this man is sensitive, emotional, and caring, but all ive seen these last two weeks is someone who acts so careless towards me, like he never even loved me. Is that just a front? I want him back so bad! He says there is no chance, but isn’t it too soon for him to even tell, I mean in time will he realize that maybe he made a mistake? If he ever truly loved me wouldn’t he want to work something out eventually? I know I was frustrating him with all my meltdowns the first couple weeks, but i’ve decided to take a different approach in hopes to win him back. I’m going to work towards my independence, not harass him, give him his much needed space. Anything else I can do to make him realize that he should give this another shot? Please help, this man is impossible to read! Every response I get is emotionless, and I just don’t see how he can be ready to just forget about me after a year and a half. Just want to add there isn’t another girl involved in case that’s what you’re thinking, I know that for a fact. He just said he can’t live with the stress of things anymore. But I know that if he would give me one more shot, I would do my absolute best to keep him happy and avoid the fights at all cost!!! Another detail I will add is that even though we have an apartment, I am not staying their through the night, I only come and go if he is not there and at work because I have no place to take my things to at the time being. We also work together so it is probably more difficult for him to even have opportunity to miss me and really think about me being completely out of his life. Right now, I finally stopped having my meltdowns in front of him, i’m trying to show him that I can act like an adult and keep it together with confidence so that we can still be friends. I’m trying to be that girl that he was originally attracted to in the first place. Please help me.

i want to hear your story , why did you break up?, how long did it take them to try to come back?, did you get back with them?, the reason i ask is i just went through a break up which quite frankly broke my heart, but when i tell people my story,( i was good to her , we have a son together, she cheated on me and is now living with this guy, i did not cheat on her, she said she was unhappy but has no good reason to be unhappy..( she said this out of her own mouth), we were together almost 5 years, just to sum it up quickly)…..they always say that she will try to come back, but to me at least at this point which it has been two months it seems the oppisite, so again i would like to hear your story, did she ever come back, realize she/he made a mistake, again i want to hear your story..thx

ok so my ex and I were together for 9 months and we became really close friends. 4 days ago he broke up with me saying that he thought of me as his best friend but that was it. he was very concerned that he didn’t want to lose me as a best friend. even as he broke my heart he insisted that he would be there for me if i need to talk (i’m having some issues with my family) I am very much in love with him and hate the idea of just being friends…now i see all these advice websites saying that if I’m kind of aloof i could win him back. is this true? any other suggestions for winning him back? I think part of the reason he broke up with me is because I was pretty dependent on him. Maybe if I act like I’m perfectly fine he’ll start to question if he made a mistake. if this doesn’t work I know I should accept him as a friend and move on but i don’t wanna give up if there’s any chance we can be together again.
