My ex and I broke up a year ago today. We had been together 8 months. We had a stormy, tumultuous relationship, and there were several very short break-ups before that. The last one happened after we had traveled for three weeks together with his three kids. I saw ugly behavior in him towards his own children: hitting them hard on the head, calling them obscene names, turning around in the car while driving on the highway to hit them and scream at them, doing dangerous activities that put their lives at risk. I ended up visiting his ex-wife to tell her about the child abuse, calling Dept of Social Services, trashing him on "Don’t Date Him Girl.com", contacting his mother about his behavior, and sending him numerous critical and harsh emails and texts. He agreed (speaking through a third party…he was no longer allowing contact between us) to go into therapy if I would stop the harassment. I sort of stopped, but consider that I was absolutely furious with him both about the way he treated me and his kids (although he never hit me, he always threatened to dump me if ever I was the least bit cross or critical), so it was hard to stop.
Well, after a couple of months, I realized that I still love him dearly. Now that I have stood up to him, I believe that if some miracle occured and he came back to me, he would behave with a bit more respect. But he had his LAWYER send me a letter last Oct saying that I had slandered him and I was never to contact him again (because I had tried to call him then…believe it or not he picked up the phone!).
I want to text him two simple words: I’m sorry. I’m scared that it will backfire, though…what if I get another letter from his lawyer? I mean, it has been a year…he can’t claim I’m harassing or stalking him from one little text. But is it worth it? We didn’t break up because of growing apart…no, he still had very strong feelings for me right until the end.
I’ve bided my time, hoping the sting of my repeated attacks on him have worn off a little. Is there any hope though? I would do anything to have him in my life again. If you are a religious person, and you would be kind enough to pray for me, I would be most grateful. I believe that he needs a woman who won’t put up with bad behavior in his life, and I know I need him in my life as well. If that weren’t the case, why would I still be in love after an entire year? It’s not for lack of other men…I date a lot. But no one is like Jamie.

Me and my ex broke up, and I did it because I was really confused with everything going on in my life and was just plain acting stupid and idiotic when i made the decision, we broke up before and when we got back things were better, and throughout the relationship I changed and forced her to do things and put my friends before her. I never intended these actions, any of them, but I know for a fact I loved her more than anything. She started talking to me again in Feb, and she told me she missed me and liked me and I told her the same. Although not to long ago (a week ago?) she got a bf, and when i called her before this and poured my heart out to her she said the usual stuff about how she wants to be friends for a while but not forever and whatnot, and so far this has been very heartbreaking. She understands how I feel but still does this and acts like nothings wrong, I’m pitted against what to do. If she texts/calls me should I respond? If so, should I act happy or monotone? If I ignore her, I go to school with her and see her numerous times throughout the day. Should I say hi or what? I want to mature and become a better man for her, because I know for a fact I love her. I already know what aspects I will change about myself to be like the old me and make her happy. High school really does change people for the worst. Please help me out, please understand. I don’t know what to do about how to get her back. Ask for specifics if needed.

My boyfriend and i broke up. He broke up with me, saying his feelings changed, however, he thinks they will come back he just doesnt know when. He wants to remain close friends which leads me to believe he still has feelings for me even though he says he doesnt.
I have been scowering the internet trying to find ways to get back with your ex boyfriend because i am very much in love with him and want to make things work. Deep down inside my heart i know we can get things to work again.
The only thing i have kept on reading was that if you cut off all contact with him, for example, not texting him over and over again or not texting him back when he texts you (my ex still texts me saying hey and goodnight and stuff) that he will wonder why you arent texting and in the long run HE will realize what he is missing and want you back? Is this true? has anyone first hand experienced it? If so, how long was the phase of not talking or contacting? I was planning on giving it a month and calling him on his birthday and trying to start fresh from there?
please let me know any little bits of details you know on this or any other type of approach that has worked for you in getting your ex boyfriend back.
I dont want him to see that im not texting back and answering and then just completely move on. I want him to realize what we had was amazing and miss me just as much as i am missing him now.

ok I’ve been on all these websites on how to get your ex boyfriend back and they say no matter what don’t call, let him call you. so i did. and it took him 5 days to call me, which i waited for, and it was the hardest 5 days of me trying my best not to call or txt him.(and they say act tough over the phone when he does call so i did, i acted like nothing was wrong)anyways so when he called me, finally, i answered and we were talking and he just started CRYING and saying” i wish things didn’t end up the way they did”, etc. BUT he NEVER said anything about how much he missed me or that he wanted me back…THIS IS WERE I AM CONFUSED. so after i got off the phone with him i called my mom to tell her everything and she said” maybe he didnt say that because he doesnt want to get turned down and if you just tell him how you really feel he’ll loosen up and say what he’s truly feeling. so i took her advise and since i couldn’t say it over the phone cause we already hung up with each other i decided to text him and i wrote;

me: i just wanted to say i still love you and think about you all the time

him: i just hope things work out the way they do

ok now im confused! does he want me back???
is he playing head games with me??
is he trying to make me make me beg for him back so that he doesn’t have to let his ego down???
what should i do?? txt him back and ask him what he means by ”hope everything works out the way they do”.??? or should i just say ”me too”, and drop it and wait again till he calls me or texts me again???

i want him back so please just tell me what i need to do to get him back.

Can anyone here please clue me in on how you can get an ex boyfriend back, even if he’s seeing a new girl but without making myself the other woman? I’ve been fumbling around with deciding if I should get my ex back or not lately and haven’t made up my mind yet. Before things got serious, he left me for another girl so it’s not like it was cheating although I still don’t like it anyways. Now that I have my license, I can see him much more now since I can drive (he lives 80 miles away so seeing him that often wasn’t possible). Can someone please explain what i should do if he texts or calls me and the no contact rule too? Is it even possible to do this? Because I don’t want to be the other woman but at the same time, I’d like to steal him back.

I don’t plan on stalking him, trust me I don’t have the time or money to waste on him like that.
He said that he wanted someone more intellectually and physically more challenging for him. Well, I’ve made those changes since we last spoke but mainly for my own self esteem and not him. Plus, like I said i’m not sure if getting him back is really what I want. Not only that, but if he wants to be with me, isn’t he going to have to change himself too?

Dated a girl for 2 years. We broke up about a month ago. during that month we would talk occasionally with me telling her i loved her and her telling me she loved me but that we both needed to change before we could ever get back together. She also started dating a new guy. she has told me many times i am the best guy she ever dated and the new guy is just a rebound to get over me. i have professed my love to her a lot but she does nothing with it. in fact the day after i poured my heart out to her AND her telling me she loves me too but just cant be with me right now, she became facebook official dating new guy. so i KNOW everyone says "you can do better", however i really love this girl and want to try even if it ends up in the same place. therefore i would like to know which of these 2 are my best option.

she texts me about ever 4-7 days with some random nonsense or just asking me how im doing.

should i: A) Ignore her completely, thus forcing her to decide if she is going to forget me forever OR make her want to come back and possibly before first big fight with new guy.

or B) ignore her first 1 or 2 texts. then on her 3rd text reply "hey im busy, text you later" then just not text her and ignore her next text again.

which is better A or B if i am trying to get her to come back and talking to her and telling her how i feel doesnt work. A or B??? thanks

I was with an amazing girl since senior year of high school we were together 3.5 years, being that is started in high school we were both pretty immature, we went through a lot of hard times together a bad instance in high school before we were dating (not between us) but dealt with both of us, went through college together, and then i joined the army and am currently deployed, i love her more then anything and during the time we were together we had rough times as well as amazing times but we split apart twice and almost immediately got back together which was a mistake, i convinced her that we both needed to work on certain things and things would be better but they weren’t because we never took the appropriate steps to change things, she doesn’t trust me anymore because things never changed and i always told her things would be better, we broke up the day before i deployed because she had saw i looked at an ex girlfriends profile , which yes i know was dumb and i had absolutely no reasoning as to why i did it, im about 3 months into deployment and we didnt talk for most of it, now we have started talking and have been building a friendship in which we didnt have much of while we were dating, she knows i am still looking for it to go somewhere eventually but we arent going to rush it, she is not expecting it to but gives suttle hints like we will see how things are later and we will work on things when you can actually be home (when im out of the army) i want to prove to her i am ready to make things work for real and i will do anything to make it happen, what is the best way to approach this situation without coming on to hard but letting her know i am serious and i still care for her more than anything?

since im deployed i obviously cant see her unless i skype with her which i dont, but i instant message her and send texts to her phone from the instant messenger, i drop hints showing i am thinking of her and that i still care for her, but i dont think its enough, any serious thoughts?

I was wondering if Sprint employees can look at a customer’s personal text messages like on their computer or in any way? I just can’t find another way. My boyfriend’s exgf (who still hasn’t moved on!!) has a best friend that works at Sprint, not at the calling centers but a local Sprint store. Well, since he doesn’t have custody of the kids, he just pays child support, she will find ways to keep him from seeing the kids if she finds out things about us. Like, we were texting about going on a vacation and she found all of this out and has told him he can’t see his kids, and he was blaming me, telling me I forwarded the texts to her cause she knew what we were texting WORD for WORD. I have a TMobile Blackberry, he has Sprint. I recently went to the Sprint store with my sister to pay her bill and I saw his exgf’s best friend working there. Is there anyway those people can have access to text messages and things like that? I’m just trying to figure this out because there is no way she can know them word for word without access to one of our phones and obviously she can’t get to his or mine..?

We split a few months ago, were together for four years & were craaaaaaaazy in love.. i was 15 wen i met him and he was 18.

We didnt cheat on eachother or want anyone else, but for some personal reason i had to move far away and because i was trying to live my life here he thought i forgot about him and moved on which hurt him alot so now he is just cold and distant with me, acting like a whole other person. He still calls and texts and emails if i dont, which are very short just to see how i am, but when i respond he is short and cuts off again.

Please help, i really do love him and miss him. Talking to him and telling him how i feel does not work at all – He was so hurt that he has changed. But when i do actually not contact he seems nicer :S
