I keep having dreams about my ex- boyfriend. Two months ago things ended badly between us. I had 2 dreams about him last night. One dream was we were at the grocery store buying some food. Then the next dream was I saw him, his mother, and a female at the grocery store, and he was walking with a cane bent over. I don’t think about him, and I have basically have gotten over him. If this is the case, then why am I having these dreams about him?

Dreams are your thoughts when you’re asleep. So try to stop thinking about him! Eventually, all those dreams will go away!

I have dreams about my ex also. You may think your over him, but thoughts of him still linger with you. It takes awhile to get over somebody. If you loved them, it could take forever.

He’s still in your subconscious, so subconsciously you still want to be with him and that’s why your having dreams.

it could unresolved issues you have with him. maybe in your relationship you saw things going further. Even tho it ended badly you are having dreams wondering what it would be like if you were still with him. they are just dreams, tho.

Despite what others might say, I don’t think its because you still have feelings for him. Sometimes when you sleep, you thoughts are randomonized. Unconciously, he just pops up. Random people will show up in your dreams. He apparently was a big part of your life so he is a part of your memories. Unless you forget about him completely, he will always be a part of your memories. So, randomly he will show up in your dreams. Don’t over analize it.
well most of the time when i have dreams about a guy then shortly later something happens between us almost exactly like it happened in my dream. i am having something similar to this happening right now. my ex and i broke up a little over a week ago and i keep having dreams that i am going to be back with him and we are going to the valentines day dance and also to prom and getting married to him in the future.
sounds to me like you still have,nt lost it with him yet. it sounds to me like you still think about him from time to time. what you need to do is get another boyfriend and start dreaming about him.

Just because you’ve gotten over someone doesn’t mean there aren’t things you miss about the relationship, or things that remind you of him. That’s normal. You had an emotional attachment at one point, and this is just the psychological leftovers of it.
I still have dreams about my high school girlfriends, even though that was almost two decades ago. Usually it’s something like a song (though I’d never thought I’d hear "Quiet Riot" as classic rock), but one time it was a perfume that someone walking by was wearing that evoked the memory.
Well it may mean that you still have feelings for him.
